Default Starview 7 advice please!!!!!!

Hi, I set up my box just fine. However, using the PVR, I wish to record programmes to view on my pc. (VLC has been installed on it). I tried to use my (FAT32) 32Gb memory stick to record but it only seems to record part of the programme. Please can anyone explain (in layman's terms) how to record the entirety of say a two hour movie without encountering a partial record only which is frustrating!!!!! Your advice would be most appreciated.

I've noticed that the PVR function splits files up. It will have recorded the whole movie, just stored them in a few different files.
Don't know why

Yes, I noticed the same, but only half of the first of them is viewable by me. I cannot view the others.

No, I can only view approx half (30-40mins) of the first file but none of the others on my sv7 ...very frustrating!

I have just:-
  1. Reformatted my 16Gb usb memory stick to FAT32.
  2. Recorded a two hour programme.
  3. Observed the saved TS file on memory stick to be approx 3GB. (There is also a 2.87Mb IDX file saved).
  4. Tried to playback on both SV7 and my PC (using downloaded VLC player for the latter).
However, playback is limited to 40minutes on both devices. Any ideas?

Try this,

goto Menu, Accessory, PVR and set the file size to 4gig (max)
default is 256mb.

Hope this helps.
