Default Motorola SB5101 all connected yet no internet

Hi guys,

I've got SB5101e I believe with Haxorware 1.1 R39. Had a problem yesterday and after trying few different mcs got connected with all the lights up on the modem, yet cannot access internet. what's this all about? does any one have any idea? At one point I had send/receive both lights blinking together, which I have not seen before, since normally they blink one by one and go online.

My existing settings:
factory mode
Force network access
disable updates
ALL TICKED with DHCP server running

Frequency as per B'ham 331, 339 and 425mhz
BPI Docsis 1.0

I need your help ASAP guys please. I've been trying to sort this out for hours now. In the light of the above:

why is this the case with lights all online yet no access?
what do I need to do to resolve this?
what settings do I need to change?
Do I need to spoof vendor info etc.?

Thank you in advance for your help guys.

Cheers.

Yes, it does say 392 bytes. I managed to get online with one but it went down after little bit and then the online light kept flashing and it will not go solid. I will try some more mc's. Any idea about what sort of settings etc. i should be using?

thanks for your advice.

Do you mean mcs starting with 00:14 will only accept BPI 1.1 and else BPI 1.0? I have tried to no avail.

I was connected with one for a few days but suddenly just went and the online light was blinking constantly and won't go online. I have tried others and the send/rcv lights flash together, don't know why.

BTW does the Coax has to be disconnected before changing mcs? Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

If it gives you a 428 byte config it works, dont touch the modem, reboot pc, also change nic mac on router/pc whichever is connected to modem and retry, also right click your connection and do 'repair' that clears cache etc
