Default Need a little help please

Hello All

sorry for any noobness, im new to this.
Im currently on VM 10mb broadband, but ive cancelled my service and have around ten days left.
Ive bought myself an ambit 256 haxorware modem with fw 1.1 r39 and was wondering how to get it up and running.
Ive logged into the modem and can access the haxorware homepage.
Ive tried to follow several guides/tuts on how to get it going , but its forever scanning, and doesnt seem to work.
Im from the london area if that helps.

Regards
