Some Advice Needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

I need some advice

I currently have the full Virgin Media Package (4mb bb,all tv including sports/movies, and a landline).

I have just got a Eurovox max 2007 box, but need to know what i need to know what to cancel with ntl to be on the best deal.

Do i need a tv subsrciption with them? do i need minimun subscription?, or does the broadband feed allow me to use the eurovox?

In an ideal world i want to be able to keep my B/B + Landlline with them, and just use the eurovox box for TV.

Also.........do i need to keep my old ntl box connected via a splitter or can i just keep only my eurovox box connected? im not sure on the whole talkback thing.

if i was to cancel the tv altogether, and just keep the broadband and telephone, would they come and collect my box? or would they leave it connected so i had a feed of free channels?

hi firstly its better to have basic tv with there ntl box left on,splitting the cable to run ev.although you dont need the tv package at all but in my opion its as safe to keep tv has you get it free with phone package anyway.

If you want to keep your broadband and phone then just use a splitter to connect to the eurovox, but its not worth canceling tv as it comes free with these two anyway

Hi all please help !!
I have just bought the euro vox Max 2008 (Blank) I have installed the UFL MAX V 06-09-07
All seemed to be ok. But when i go through the power scan it goeas all the way through 770 ?? but then ends up with no channels ! item underneath TP000 is this transponders ??? if so why is it not picking any up ?
Is there anything else i need to do. THe scan lasts for about 45 mins.


Any help would be cool (before i go mad)

what baud rate are you scanning on ?
6592 or 6887 ?
if one does,nt pick up tps try the other

Not as stupid a question as you might think,but have you got the cable feed in the right connector ? it should be in Number 1 on the rear panel diagram as per your user manual ....

or for quickness top left connection looking from the rear of unit...

also do you subscribe to any services from VM for if not your feed may be dead......

mate all sorted now, i found 38 TP seem to have got around 215 channels

and yes i do subscrive to vm, would i know be able to cancell my subsciption, and if i do will my eurovox still work ?

My baud rate is now 6.952, 6.887.
Which now seems to work i have 38 TP's now
