I just saw that there is new firmware out dated 22/11/10 for the combo+, I have tried to find out what it does, on another site it explains It opens all the HD channels and is more stable! But my combo+ automatically opened all the Hd channels last Friday with no firmware update? Can anyone throw some light on this please?

sounds like stuff that falls out of big male cows to me.
as u allready know the hd channels are working. and as far as i know there hasnt been any major changes to the formware but i will check.

best thing to remember is "if it aint broke dont fix it".

well theres always the "try it and see" statement also.
actually i flashed a box for my bro yesterday with the latest listed software, didnt even check/care what it was and it works but didnt see any difference.
so maybe its all deep within the firmware!

dont really care all i wanted was it to work!
maybe u cud try it and report back any findings?

Not on the bigmaq toolbar, only new file I can see is STB_DB_Sky.UDB
There are many niggly things that could do with fixing on the HD combo.

Carling+_F528_1102.UAD is now available on the bigmaq toolbar

Is it worth waiting on user feedback before rushing to install or are starview updates usually ok?

i dont really want the bigmaq toolbar, i like to be virus free!
