I have the spi programmer cable and clip, im trying to re flash a 256 that I think was bricked (could not get the hax page), the programmer reads the modem chip and appears to flash it but I still cant get the hax page, could something else be wrong with the 256 ?

Are you flashing a full 2MB image? Either that or you need to flash a bootloader and then the firmware, I would recommend flashing a full 2MB image though.

Does the chip ID correctly with the proper name for the chip? I know for a fact that MX chips with a blue dot on require some extra work. You need to bridge a certain point on the modem's PCB but I forgot which.

That ID looks good to me. Have you set your parallel port to ECP+EPP mode in the BIOS? I'm pretty sure I used that setting however I haven't used my SPI programmer for some time now so I cannot accurately tell you what I did.

its set at ecp bidirectional I dont have the option for ecp+epp, I think its taking the flash as when I flash it with one particular version of hax all the lights continuously flash, but when I flash with the workin flash dump they dont.

After I flashed, I think I had to leave the modem on a good 5 minutes before it did anything. Also, I couldn't put Haxorware11rev39 straight on there, I had to load a 2MB dump of rev38 and then upgrade to rev39 using the Haxorware GUI.

all lights just keep fashing with rev38 with rev39 the power light stays solid and the ethernet light will come on when connected but still cant communicate with the modem.
