Virgin Logical Channel Numbers (LCN)

Does anyone here know where / how the LCN's are broadcast in the stream?

I have found this example for Freeview DVB-T, where the LCN's have been added to a user defined data field 0x83 in the Network Information Table (NIT).

I've been analysing the streams with dvbsnoop and tsreader, but I cant find anything consistent with regard to where this information may be broadcast. I am fairly sure this information is being broadcast, its just a matter of finding how its been encoded.

Does anyone here have a dreambox, or equivalent. I'd like to know if the actual virgin channel numbers (i.e. 101 = BBC One) can be detected by such systems.

Being able to find this information turns a PC-based solution into something a whole lot more practical. Its a pain sorting through channels and trying to order them. It would be great if various PVR applications can put this information to good use.

Any information that anyone has already gleaned would be much appreciated...
