adding a 2nd v box

before i go into how i intend to set it up-i plan to get one off fleabay.i currently have there 3 services-althou the v box is just freeview channels now. will the fleabay box work in recieving the current channels i get now?

ok so if thats a yes..my plan was to add a splitter to the upstairs modem and use the box from there..will this work?i read somewhere i wouldnt get a signal
by putting a splitter on the modem end....modem cable goes back downstairs and is fed into a 3way splitter that supplys the virgin picture to main tv.

any thoughts on this fairly straight forward set up?

If I understand what you are saying, you are a current TV M subscriber with Virgin Media and want to acquire a second V box from ebay?

The new box will only pick up those channels which are unencrypted, i.e. even less than you get with your subscribed box.
