Tee111, could you please also send me the same pm? I have to access the driver side door lock on my 1997 Opel Astra. This info would be a great help.

Hi there,

I have the same problem too but for the back window. I have a 1999 Mk4 Astra and the electric window doesnt seem to work anymore. You can actually pull the window up and down with your hand - sounds like the mechanism is still trying to raise the window but that the rachet is maybe gone. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get the panel off.
Cheers,
Neil

Im sorry but if you took the time to search this on google and make a user account, you could have also looked at the second page to save yourself the hassle of making an account

when refitting the handle just slide the clip onto the groove on the handle then tap it on with the palm of your hand
