Default BB Speed

Quick question,

I don't know too much about this so any advice appreciated.

My Dad recently decided to upgrade his BB with Virgin as my younger brother and his girlfriend moved back home. This meant that there were now also 2 laptops running wirelessly in addition to his pc.

After the initial upgrade and doing tests he has said that for the first week it was alot faster but now appears to be at the original speed prior to the upgrade.

How should we go about raising this issue with Virgin?

I don't think its that. Also there was an increase in speed in the first week. I'm not sure what he upgraded from but basically he's done speed tests and its now the same as it was before the upgrade.

But again there are 3 computers off the connection???

But I can have my laptop and desktop running (and also my KV) in my house and don't have any problems.

Its just the fact that he's upgraded it but yet it appears to have reverted back to the same as before the apparent upgrade?

Thanks for that link jet, interesting.

i kicked up a fuss when my 10mb line was the same after i upgraded to 20mb,i called them up and they actually sent an engineer out to me! the guy done some fiddling around at the green cabinet across the road and even changed my modem, but all credit due to them had me back online in about an hour or so and even got a free dongle off the engineer! and don't rely on speed tests as they are all erratic! best way to do a check is to download on nzb which will max out your modem to whatever speed your modem/config is
