They may be able to sue for damages but they wont get any money back as its a 'rented' system. VM haven't actually bought it - they simply rent it from Kudelski on a 'per client' basis. Basically, VM pay Kudelski a small mothly fee for each card in use by a client. Lets say (guess) the fee is £1 per month per client card - so 3 Million clients would be a rental fee of £3 Million per month to Kudelski. No initial crippling purchase fee to VM but still quite lucrative to Kudelski !
