Default Power scan problem

Hello everyone, I've come across a little problem here...!

I did a powerscan yesterday and I seemed to have lost all my channels because of it! When I do the powerscan it seems to find the frequencies and the channels but it now it says 'service unknown'! (all the channels worked before the scan)

Heres what I did step by step, am I doing something wrong?

1 - Erase all channels
2 - Factory reset
3 - Power scan - Normal - Symbol rate 6.887 - Step 8

If I just leave it after step 2, factory reset, (which automatically does a autoscan) I have a few channels which work, about 3 movie ones and 2 sports ones for example, but after the power scan I seem to lose all the channels including those although all the channels names (such as sky movies 8, which doesnt appear with factory settings) do appear in the list of channels...

What am I doing wrong?

Yeah but I cant change the symbol rate to 6.887 to pick up the correct channels in full scan mode, you can only do it in Normal mode.

whenyou factory reset, change it to the opposite symbol rate.
Is it a red box or blue?

I would not have done Factory reset, just erase the channels and then power scan - Full.

Change the scan rate to 6887 while in Normal mode, then change to Full and scan, this holds 6887 in memory and does a full scan on that band.

This of course is if your area is on SR 6887.

I have struck again.

I don't know why but I decided to reset factory settings today and then tried a power scan (full)but got no channels at all, next attempt (normal/symbol rate 6.887) hey presto all the channels have been picked up.

the problem is, for hours now I've had the Information box on screen with "please wait, code being updated". I've had this screen before but it lasts no more than a few minutes and the channels return but not this time.

btw I can still view the terrestial channels through the eurovox it's all the premium channels from VM that I can't get.

anyone else experiencing similar problems or know if I'm doing something wrong please help I'm goin nuts here

cheers

Have you tried switching the box off from the mains, leaving it for 5 minutes and then switching it on? Try that a few times, it should work eventually.
