Default Brand new Scientific Atlanta 2100

Hi guy's, I bought a brand new Scientific Atlanta EPC2100R2 bcm3349
it has never been on any network, so I thought i would just flash it with
haxorware rev 39 by the no cables route, everything went fine and it
flashed no problem, but no matter what mac I use none work, even
macs that where working are not working on this modem.

I was wondering if I should have done a full 2mb dump instead of the rev 39 1.2 firmware first, the problem I have now is there's no 4 pins for the max232
method on the modem, never seen that before, would the jtag blackcat way
work on this modem.

cheers

yeh blackcat jtag way will work. but if it is flashed u shud be able to get it running ok.

before u reflash it i would double check ur frequencys, macs, and stealth etc etc.

if still no joy then try a non-vol off a working modem on urs and see if that cures it

and yes the new s/a 2100's ive seen dont have the max232 pins now u have to solder them in like the jtag

Thanks mate, I think it could be something to do with settings as it flashed
good and I can access all setting pages, I just wondered with it never been
on any v***in network if I should have put a full 2mb flash or something, but
I'll keep trying with this before the solder gun comes out lol.

Do a factory reset 1st, then put freq in and see if it locks. Add Macs and reboot and see if they go operational-it's a good thing if you do know a mac works to try as it seems you've got.
