It could be because the NAS rejected them? I've used WDs before in computers that I've built and had no complaints from any of my buyers

I decided to go for a Seagate Barracuda 1 TB drive. Got it for approx £42 plus delivery. Looks good enough for what I want so fingers crossed. Thanks for the input waqasahmed.
