Default Cloning my subbed box

Hey all virmin just bin and installed my new phone tv and internet package.

im looking to clone it to my ambit 256. but not totally sure howto find the relevent info from my sub.

its the new netgear modem/wireless router combined?

The golden rule is NEVER mess with your subbed equipment !

Not quite sure why you would want to clone to your subbed modem - you wouldn't be able to run both at the same time from the same location and I doubt you would want to be giving things like your subbed certificates to others. If you want to start playing around cloning and using diodgy modems you always make sure its using devices that cant be directly traced back to you !!!

Yes, the latest gear that VM are supplying is a combined modem/router unit

aigh i see i just see a few people mentioning cloned subs. i was using my 256 fine. i only unplugged it why they installed.

the ambit has no connection to me so ill just keep messing with that.

what your talking about it a 1:1 clone and yes, as the coder says breaks the first rule of the cable hack.

as he also mentions, you are giving away your certs which means that if vm for any reason look into your mac/ip (eg a letter from an owner of a copywrited file who has spotted you downloading their material on torrents) will prove you have given your modem to someone or dumped the flash yourself and made a clone.
