wow just did a speed test on my 256 usin haxo and got between 35-50 meg WTF lol

Take it with a pinch of salt - the speedtest is almost certainly wrong - there's probably some caching going on somewhere distorting the results or its just having a bad day.

Generally, all speedtest results should be viewed with suspicion. They rarely get the correct speed (its physically impossible for them to check a line speed via the internet) so the best you can hope for from them is to use the results for trend analysis (ie, do the results vary over time).

your 256 is capable of 43mb down max.

i know this from experience and from using a custom config with unlimited us&ds

well thats strange because every site ive speed tested on brings bk same results

Doesn't mean to say they are right !

A suitable analogy would be trying to measure the speed of a local road in Glasgow by taking an average when starting your journey in London !

All you end up getting is the average speed of traffic between yourself and the speedtest site. It does not measure your actual line speed !

this could be part of the governments move to get us better broadband speed....

instead of actually getting us bigger bw there just rigging the test sites
