My first post, so hello to all. Been viewing for a while so thought it was time for a post...

This is my Krypt box. Got it today and set here up after work. Took an hour of getting the bloody cheep *** USB to RS232 cable to install! Anyway after that it was easy as pie to flash.

Here it is in situ. Quite small compaired to the sky HD box. Only downside of the Krypt is there is no HD decoder or SPDIF (optical) out. However given the returns ill happly make do.. prehaps an upscaler, however rather expensive for one of quality.

This is it is linked to RS232 for firmware alteration. The Ethernet is for a constant connection to the server. (The NIC is consealed behind a blanking plate on purchase) as this is strickly a 'free to air' box. So why would a NIC ever be needed......??? lol

Tiny foot print but huge results. As this is my first insight into the world of cable recievers I am more than inpressed.

My only concern would be how long the server will last or how long support will continue.

My hope would be that the server is baised out side of the EU / USA. With only an upload node/s in the UK.

Those that are playing 50+ quid to cable or anything really...happy googling!

Now I have that sorted.. the 256 is next
