Default Microsoft 8000 Wireless Entertainment Keyboard Problem

I have a very annoying issue with my keyboard. It will work fine whilst it is in use, if I leave it be for say one hour, it refuses to respond until I run the connection wizard. I have checked settings for hibernation and sleep and they are all set to have the keyboard wake the computer. I read on Microsoft help that it is a problem with the keyboard going into some sort of "sleep" mode but I cannot find any options for this in the IntelliType software.

Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.
