Hi Everyone
Got an SV7 (Not Combo) Uploaded CARLING-1.03-SV7 and used dooby2oon's firmware guide tutorial, all except using the lan conection..... Found 287 channels an 37 radio stations... Left on a non FTA channel overnight and still not working, screen just says, scramble NOT scrambled.... I have tried all variations of dooby2oon's guide but the result always ends the same (Nothing)... Maybe I am doing something wrong, "I hope so"... In anticipation, thanks StevieB |

You all should find time to read the tut before committing to replace any box the first thing to learn since the intro of n3 that no boxes will work without router connections.

Thanks to everybody for the info....
With regards to psqwerty, had read in a few places about a lan/router connection but didn't think that I would need that as I was going by the S***view 3 set up, but that way is obviously old hat now,but I obviously do need to make that connection as this is the only option left. (Short of the box being faulty).. Is there a guide or instuctions on showing how to hook up the box via lan/router because this looks a bit more involved...... Thanks again for all your replies.... The set up to router is really easy its like coonecting a pc(wired) to a router, at the back of the SV7 theres a serial port place the ethernet adapter into this port, and put 1 side of your ethernet cable into the back of your router and the other side into the ethernet adapter at the back of your box. Easy as that mate

Hi psqwerty..
Before I'd read you last post, I conected up the router/modem and within 10secs everything burst into life so I couldn't be happier.. Just two small questions remaining... The first is, do you have to have an ,internet connection to use the box and the second is are you more likely to have your collar felt using this method bearing in mind that doing this is not on the level..... Once again, thanks to everyones contribution on the subject..... StevieB
