Default Having Problems With SB5100

hey guys,
im having problems with a sb5100 with the sb5100 mod, the bloody thing just keeps deciding to off on its own but it does come back on by itself aswell it can take from 10 mins to 2 - 3 days to come back on, and i cant get onto the control panel to change the mac, im putting in the correct address and im getting page cannot be displayed,im running xp at the min but have tried it with vista and just get the same outcome, is it the mac address that needs changing because it does come back on by itself, and also i forgot to mention it is connected straight to the computer not thru any routers.

and also when i get it back on is it safe to take out the ethernet cable to connnect the router back up or will my internet just go again?

thanks in advance for any help

The mac needs matching up with the spoof data that its from, that'l stop the reboots, also disconnect the cable feed before you try to change mac.

hi funkyfones,

I'm not sure if that applies to me as i don't even use sb5100mod as i've put the original firmware (SB5100-2.3.1.3-SCM00-NOSH) for the sb5100. It was running fine for a good 10 days, until 2 days ago when it went offline and so i tried different macs. Most don't come online (power light flashes) and the ones that do are either slow or don't last very long (i.e. 10mins - 1hr).

I've now got one online with another mac from another ubr, but again it boots offline every 20mins. The logs have the same errors around these times:-

What do you think could be causing that? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Vermin: not sure which (of the many) things could cause that as I'm a haxorware person and that wont work on 5100, have you tried sigma?

Phil: that thing is a pain in the ass when it happens, I havent found out why it does tho, 1 modem could be fine and the next with exact same everything does the reboot and not give 192 page for hours, I just put it aside and try afew hrs later and it works

Hopefuly theres someone who's more clued up on the 5100s than me and can help, Ambit ftw
