Default Split Ethernet Cable?

I have an Orange Devolo homeplug for my Kryptview and I was wondering if I can use the same homeplug for internet on my TV by splitting it using this (ethernet RJ45 3 Way Network Cable Splitter)?

Keep in my mind you can't split an IP.

I don't want to use wireless for my TV, so will that above work or will I have to buy another pair of homeplugs? Can I get just one adapter (slave) as I already have a master - if so where can I get it from?

Thank You.

I can't see how that would work.

This TP-Link 10/100 5 Port Desktop Switch - Aria Technology will work fine though

Please don't start duplicate threads, ask the question once. Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Split Ethernet Cable?

Could be wrong.. but am sure if you reserve the IP addresses then it should work.

Then again I could be wrong but no harm in buying it and testing it.

I forgot to delete the other as it was in the wrong section.

I don't understand how this would work, what would I need to do?

Thank You.

Edit: How will this work with my Orange Devolo homeplug? Thanks.

Pretty sure it won't work.

You would have two devices sending data up the same pair, in a completely uncontrolled manner.

Use the switch, it will work.

How would it work with my Orange Devolo homeplug, how would I connect it? Thanks

Cable from homeplug to switch, then cable from each device to switch

Didn't realise it was that simple.

Edit: One more thing - is it compatible with my homeplug, Orange Devolo?
