Itunes is available free

Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes

There are a few different programs, but the one I like and use is Ephpod. It's similar to Itunes so it's easy to use.

One thing, use the 2.75 release. The 2.77 was a bit buggy.

I did see IPod.Access.for.Windows.v4.0.4 on usenet the other day:

..: DESCRiPTiON :.. ²Ý
Û² ²Û
Û² ²Û
Û² iPod Access for Windows brings to Windows users what Mac users ²Û
Û² have been raving about: the ability to freely transfer files from ²Û
Û² an iPod back to a computer. Need to move songs from one computer ²Û
Û² to another? Lost all your iTunes music due to a computer failure? ²Û
Û² iPod Access is the answer. Unlike some other iPod applications on ²Û
Û² the market today iPod Access utilizes the iPod database to display ²Û
Û² song information. Using this database enables song listings to be ²Û
Û² displayed instantly, playlist data to be viewed, and songs ²Û
Û² purchased from the iTunes Music Store to be displayed properly. ²Û
Û² Version 2 also added Playlist Cloning and the ability to add songs ²Û
Û² directly into iTunes. ²Û
Û² ²Û
Û² With a simplified user interface including song filtering by ²Û
Û² Artist/Album or Composer/Album you can find the songs you need to ²Û
Û² copy and even listen to them directly in the main window. When ²Û
Û² copying songs iPod Access can organize songs into Artist/Album ²Û
Û² folders or Composer/Album folders and change the file names if ²Û
Û² desired. iPod Access also provides one button full sequential ²Û
Û² music backups. By pressing "Backup" in the toolbar you can speed ²Û
Û² up the process of regular backups. iPod Access will by default ²Û
Û² only copy new songs added to your iPod so you don't have to ²Û
Û² remember what you have added.
