ambit 250 TSOP flashing help needed

i tried to connect with putty , i selected com1 and serial with my max232 connected + putty and i just get a blank DOS screen and nothing will type in.

i then tried to connect with putty 192.168.100.1 port 23 ...telnet and ethernet
i get the LOGIN message so ive tried
login = admin
passwd = infinite
says incorrect
ive tried
login = Infinite
passwd = SetValue
says incorrect
but if i type 192.168.100.1 into my browser i can get into the status page using
login = Infinite
passwd = SetValue

its wierd ,

so what you have is a modem, on infinite to which you dont know the telnet login name or pass. thus we need to connect to it with the max232 and then run the commands above

well it seems that way, it might be a case of , when i flashed it a few yr ago i gotta feeling i changed the password.
i only use 4-5 passwords all round and it aint any of them.so the TSOP ? does this only carry the bootloader ? hence the reason 192.168.100.1 Infinite SetValue logs in ?
then , and the tiny chip on the mobo ( dont know what it is ) carries the flash ? and i need the password i changed it for ?.
i just cant connect via max232 and i've checked and double checked to make sure its connected the right way.
i better let you know what im doing you might spot a mistake ;-
set the NIC card in my pc to
192.168.100.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1
then start up Tftpd32 and select ; 192.168.100.10
make sure the flash is in the Tftpd32 folder
make sure my ambit 250 is connected to COM1 via MAX232 and ethernet cable connect.
start up XP hyper
select COM1
115200
none
apply
reboot modem and hit P but nothing
just a flashing underscore.
if i select Winsock instead of COM1 it asks for the login and password and i've tried everything i can think of.the little chip ? can i buy one flashed to go ? would take all of a minute to lift and relay with rework.

well i decided to try on an old laptop i got and low and behold in hyperterminal i at the stage were its scanning like this ;-

Scanning DS Channel at 531000 Hz ...
Scanning DS Channel at 651000 Hz ...
Scanning DS Channel at 761000 Hz ...
Scanning DS Channel at 531000 Hz ...
Scanning DS Channel at 531000 Hz ...

etc
i tried to paste in
cd \cm_hal
scan_stop
but it said unknown cmd scan_stopcd \cm_hal
?
any idea's ?

and i paste in
cd \cm_hal
scan_stop

i get a line that says

Specified Subtable (' cd ' ) does not exist! Can't change to it...g DS channel at

so now i cant seem to stop it scanning...

copy and paste in the whole block..

 
cd /cm_hal
scan_stop

or, if you use ambit config console window it stops it scanning itself

then use the comands aboce to change user and pass then follow instructions in the hax pack
