ambit 250 TSOP flashing help needed

i lost the "P" option so im trying to flash the TSOP but im unsure which file i use. Also, is the actual flash held in the 48 TSOP or is that just for the bootloader ?.

can someone help me please with a bootloader with the P option ?.

we need to know what modem and what flash chip.

the chip will say it on it

we then need to know what firmware you are wanting to put on it

It did have Infinite but someone mentioned Haxoware would be better.i did flash it with the 2.1.6D bootloder but for some reason i just cant get it to connect after following the tutorial to the letter.
my max232 is an old un and im beginning to wonder if its goosed.
oh im using an UP48a to flash it.

so you've lifted the chip then.

not sure what happens with a upa48 but if its anything like the willem you'll need a 2mb full dump.

best to flash infinite back to it and then upgrade it via telnet

do you have external link to a dump ?.

ignore that last one , i got a flash and all done thing is though i still cant get the comport to connect.if i 192.168.100.1 i can get the the infinite page but thats it.if i use ambit config or 250_config , , , it just wont connect.with 250_config i use Infinite - SetValue the same to log in to the modem via IE but i get wrong user password no matter what i use :- admin - infinite makes no odd's.
so basically i just cant connect , is there anyway to check my comports ?.

if you've flashed with the dump im thinking of you;ll have to get it connected with the max to change the telnet user name and pass so that you can continue to upgrade.

what do you get in hyperterm when you power up?

the file i used is called :-
Willem_Ambit_250_255_infinite.bin
i cant connect with hyperterm , i get some message in one of the progs about jibugging error or something similar.i just dont know if its my max or my serial comport givin me gip.
i can get to the infinite status connection via 192.168.100.1 here's a read from the connection page ( the titles are in the red boxes if that means anything) =

no, you need to enable logging in hyperterminal and past the log

or, before you do that, try putty term to telnet via serial.

or, ambit config console window, if it doesnt come up with any error but the text is gibberish still go ahead with the commands to change the user name and pass....

from memory.. (hit enter twice after each line)

cd n
cd m
user_name yournewusername
password yournewpassword
write

then try to connect with winstock using hyperterm or putty

enter the new user and pass you have just set and if it starts scanning your good

then go ahead with the upgrade to hax as per instructions in the readme
