Im new to this so not sure if this the right place.
Moved into a place with a chipped General Instruments CFT 2100 box and get all the channels. Had virgin out to install broadband and they 'turned a blind eye' to the box and installed a splitter to split the signal into both tv and bb. Only problem is we cant use the splitter to have tv and bb at the same time. TV works but the led on the wireless router keeps flashing. We have to disconnect the main cable going into the splitter and connect it to the router to get bb, and if we want tv.... connect the cable back into the back of the splitter and use one of the cables thats in the splitter and put it back into the cable tv box. Bit of a mission. We're still analogue. The virgin guy said the signal isn't strong enough to do both? Any ideas of a work around? Thanks |

lol. Northern Ireland...... always behind the times. Still not digital. Still..... im hoping there has to be a simple solution. Not watching tv to go on the internet defeats the purpose! Although in saying that 'not enough signal' and 'Nothern Ireland' might be the cause. Lol. He said something about they've done a upgrade recently and to keep trying it for the next few weeks and the signal could stabilize?? |

I've been told else where that the only way to get the internet to work would be to get rid of the chipped box. If you think it would work can you link to something that i'd be looking to purchase on ebay. Saw quite a few but not sure which one i'd be looking for. Also where would i get the cable? Thanks. |
