Default Eurovox Scrambled - did have freeview now jumping about - help?

I have had a eurovox for about a year now, it was scrambled a few months ago. I rescanned it a few times but it kept flicking - then it stopped and I had the majority of freeview channels, it was going great for weeks then I turned that plug off in error. I have fast and deep scanned several times, and reset factory settings but I just cannot get a good picture on it, it just jumps and says bad signal even on the standard 5 channels.

Is there a way of resolving this?? Once its been scrambled is it dead and buried?? I would appreciate the help, as I cannot afford to get Cable Tv installed. (I have a freeview from them upstairs which does run off the same line)

The box could be dead if you're not getting a signal even on the standard terrestrial channels (1 to 5). If you subscribe to Virgin for your telly upstairs, disconnect that one from the splitter, then try a rescan with the Eurovox plugged in direct so you don't lose any signal strength. If that doesn't work then all I can suggest is replace the box, I imagine you'd pick one up for a fiver somewhere. Either that or just get a Freeview box, about 20 quid from Argos, and connect that to your normal aerial.

Phil I have been on my hands & knees fiddling with wires, this sort of thing is not for a woman, but it does appear to have worked!! I checked the Virgin freeview box upstairs and it seemed fine, eurovox downstairs is going great. I am hoping that it stays this way now, didnt want to have to go upstairs to watch Easenders for another night!

Thanks a lot

Awwww. Poor you. At least you can get about, not like poor Ryan. I bet he'd love to just go upstairs to watch telly. Oh God, I can't believe I just said that.
