Default Allergies

Does anyone else live down here in the south? The pollen in the air will cause you to have allergies you never had. The pollen count was almost 6,000 before it rained the other day. It was blowing in the air like green snow!

I recently got put on a different Antihistamine by my doctor, it's called Levocetirizine and it's the best I've ever had. I've recently visited Atlanta when the had the highest pollen count ever and I had no symptoms whatsoever. So go see you GP and ask about Levocetirizine

I've had a lot of problems with seasonal allergies in the past, but recently I changed my medication. Now, I'm using Zyrtec and Singulaire. They work pretty well.

Zrytec is pretty good, but I use Clarinex right now. In my opinion, however, they're all pretty much the same.

I also use this but I still seem to find it difficult to breath, when it rains a lot?! last night I could not sleep...you would think that the rain would remove the pollen from the air.

Try a local honey as the pollens in it should help alleviate Hay Fever. It must be produced locally so that it has the right pollens from the right types of plants.

I was using Piriton for hayfever, but it can reall knock me out - last I had was last Thursday but couldn't concentrate at all all day, which is not good for working.

Are Levocetirizine and Zirtek likely to cause drowsiness?

My other half swears by Zirtek. She says Piriton makes her very drowsy.
