yep its easy , nagra 1 has a 1 in it and nagra 3 has a 3 in it....

lol its a joke before i get an infringement!

nagra 1 was an encryption system which worked in a certain way but was easily hacked, nagra 3 was created to undermine these hacks and has as yet never been hacked in the conventional way.
thats why we use cs, if you want a more in depth description i suggest finding another forum that may discuss it.

im not so sure the members here would want to go deep into explaining the construction of nagra.

Asking the difference between the two is a bit of a strange request unless you already have a good understanding of the basics of encryption technology. Its easier to say that one is simply a linear progression of the other.

Or perhaps think of it like the same child in different stages of development. One is like a 4 year old, obedient, easy to control and happy to tell you everything whilst the other is like a teenager, lippy, rebelious, very hard to control and tells you absolutely fook all !
