help setting up starview hd to satellite

hi guys just wondering if any of u can help with setting up a starview hd combo 2 satallite the problem is that i can set it up on cable side but when i try 2 get it up and try 2 get it 2 connect to sat side it says no signal i av looked it up on goggle it says no signal i av got a legit sky sub i av also got bb of sky any help will be very grateful merry xmas and av a good new year aswell cheers

I am confused with why on earth you would want to use a Starview combo when you have a legit sky sub.

Why not just use there own STB which has been provided. Its a better box then then Starview combo and defo has more features then that starview box.

Now as far as I was aware of is that starview combo can not be used as a server and can only be used as a client.

So in which would mean that your '' Sky Card'' would not work in that box anyway as the card is paired to its Unique box.

I could be wrong here but am sure someone will shed light on this matter.

Finally if you did set it up on the sat side then you will only get the FTA channels anyway. So why not just stick to the box which has been provided to you by SKY.

so wat ur saying is that the combo will only work on cable side and not on sky side unless u use a sky card the only reason i wanted 2 set box up was 2 put in another room so that i could watch tv channels in there ppl say that they change there combo over from cable to sky when they want 2 that is wat is puzzling me i do not no how 2 set sky part up on the box ps any advice on how this is set up will help thanx

to set the sky side up first you need to tell it which sat you wish to use, and do a scan on that sat, its failry easy thru the menus, then when you have done a scan you will notice you only get the fta channels which are of course free, to access the paid channels you need to sub a server which are not free, but can be found for as little as £12 per month which is what i use, sorry wont share my server details as 1 i dont want them clogged up and 2 its not allowed on this public forum.
but if you google cccam servers you will get a good list of many servers out there, ask one for a trial cline and google how to enter the cline into your combo (its not too hard once you suss it out).
go into the installation menu on the combo and search on astra 26.e let it scan watch as it lists the channels then do the cline server bit and if done right and set up is right you can have full sky hd for a minimal cost.
i keep both the cable and sat side running just in case i need them and it doesnt cost too much.
if you get stuck om me and ill help that way as like i said its not allowed thru a public forum.

once done you will see how much cheaper than sly this method can be.

Exactly what Quavis has stated above is what you need to do.

in your case it seems like you just want sky UK anyway but like Quavis stated google it and you shall find your answer.
