Default cables from the splitter

Hi gang i have a spare output on my splitter im going to use it for the normal telewest box upstairs as my d is downstairs. I have normal tv cable running out of the d downstairs so i can watch whatevers on upstairs. Can i use this normal cable to connect to the splitter and run into the normal box upstairs

yes m8 you can no probs i have the max in living room then split to bedroom for internet then i split that signal to my original box which i put in the bedroom so as you can see i have 2 splitters connected with no probs
a little tip the 8db or 10db antenuator that t/west connected ther cable to just before it went in the back of the box put this on the ingoing of the splitter and then just take the fly leads to each box that way you giving both boxes a bit of a gain boost works fine for me, or get another antenuator and connect it to the box upstairs but you shouldnt need to do that m8

im stuck im only getting 12345 on me normal box everyrthing else tells me to phone 150 i subscribe to the basic package even itv2 i dont get ???????

hi Peakey mmm strange m8 disconect everything even the splitter that tw gave you and just attach your normal box let me know what happens m8
im on virgin and as said no probs at parents as described above got one in my partners house in wales also split 3ways and my brothers but his split 4ways as he also got a chipped box which i put in bedroom
like i say disconnect everything and just connect your tw box if it still tells you to call 150 let me now m8
you could give them a call anyway as you only have there box connected could be fault at there end spk 2u soon

Ok sorted now i had to call virgin and they sent something to my box



something to do with leaving the box unplugged for a long time?
