i've updated my SV Combo but no 'end/die' date on... maybes mine will live forever.... perhaps KV will die before hand..... until May 11 noone knows for sure whats happening, its all rumour and hearsay

You need to check after the channels clear (i.e. it has connected). The date doesn't appear initially when it says disconnected.

Anyway, I've rolled back to the previous firmware as I was having a slight audio issue (not sure if it was signal or firmware related).

i updated boxing day and been on running for hours and no date?

doesnt say anyhting to be fair.

mines saying 25/11/2011 i know ive made at least 4 or 5 payments to my server guy so my dates well out, not complianing of course extra time is a bonus.

but just because your box isnt showing the date doesnt mean it wont switch off after 12 months! dont fool yourself you cant beat the server.

case proven now the starviews have a die by date built in.but as i mentioned in another thread it isnt the end of the world.

all the channels hardly any glitching for 12 months inc the hd channels for a few quid a week isnt bad.

my box was £189 so thats £3.60 per week, and i pay another £2.50 per week for my server and i get full sky hd for that. (costs spread over a year).

considering i was paying sky £20 per week i am getting an excellent deal.

if the epg is ever sorted out on the sat side then i have the best of all the worlds! i dont really fancy buying a whats on tv magazine!
