Carling 1.04up

Hi All,
Just updated to carling 1.04up...
Box now showing " valid to 211-10-01 "
I assume its now offical, You get 1 year from first connection to server
Will you be able to pay for another year on completion or is it a new box ???

untill then sv have my custom! and after my box dies its a private sat server.

yeah if there was 1 local to me i be doing same m8 only 1 i know hit u for 15 bar a month and no sports\movies so i ask what am i paying m,e money for lol what is this world coming too

I also updated to 1.04 and get exactly the same date of expiry on 2 boxes despite them being connected to the server different months

Seems like a date they have decided they will switch access off, can not be coincidence

I have a feeling the Die by date (HS Net Status) is not related to when the box is first connected to the server. I've come across posts on various forums and the same/similar expiry date seems to be cropping up time and again. For example the date 2011-10-1 is a very common one for Starview boxes. It seems a huge coincidence that many dates are identical.

The expiry date on my Starview Combo+ is 2011-05-1 which another Combo+ user has also reported. The thing is the box was brand new which was bought and connected around the 4th of December 2011 so it seems odd that I have only been given 5 months. I have a feeling that Starview are actually going off the production date of the box (i.e. when the MAC address was issued) and adding some months to that to take into account how long a box normally stays on the shelf (before sale).

You will not be able to renew your sub you will have to purchase a new box, as its illegal for this, so who in there right mind is going to have a paper trail leading to them.

suggestions are being put forward that we should have bought KV as they don't appear to have a cut off point, HOWEVER people have been screaming for weeks, they don't just glitch but are offline for quite a time

So for more money you get a poor service, I am not boosting sv's up cos they really should sort extra server capacity out but by the look of it I saved a third and am no worse off for it

How about the people paying for c/s sat subs?

Thats their choice can your see starview taking the chance doubt it, as it would be leaving themselves wide open.
