satellite receiver = dish

cable receiver = cable feed

you might be lucky and get channels 1-5

Depends on what root u wanna take tbh.

if you want to go the sat side and you have the ££££ to spend then look no further then the VU+Duo

Alternatively if your on a budget then get a Dm800HD
The boxes mentioned above require a Sat dish.

And no they not plug play and you cant expect to just get channels by plugging it in

You have a Dm600 So I assume you have a pretty good knowledge with linux boxes.

if you want to go the cable route then you can always invest in a SV combo which only lasts for 12 months on the cable side. However the box is a twin tuner and can be used on the sat side as well.

I dont really want to get a sat dish so i guess it will be the cable route. So the starview combo is the best option then? how many channels roughly will i get with this box? how come it only lasts 12 months? so sorry for all these questions but thanks alot for all the help so far

Starview combo only lasts for 12 months... I dont know why they have decided that but that is how it is am afraid.

The HD channels there is quite a lot however you dont get Movies and Sports in HD apprently. The rest come in HD. I dont have the box so I dont know the exact number of HD channels you will be receiving on the cable side.

KVA780 does not have a expiry date, however its a SD box.

cable is plug and play and requires no effort @ all. Plus there is no subscription as the server is FREE!!

well thats a very good question.... hmmmm let me think about that one..

you have a STB with a cable tuner and for that box to work you would need a Vermin Line / Broadband anyway.

So the answer to your question is...

I will let you answer that one now.

Kryptview boxes are recommended BTW.

for more info you more then welcome to read the SV and KV section and make your mind up.

What you need to be aware of is that the old methods no longer apply... New methods are totally different.
