I was offered a dm800hd pvr bl 75 for €180 but ive heard the reader burns the card chip, is this true or can I set the freq in the cam.cfg file just like a dm500 ??

they do get hot, would sugest a external card reader like a smargo

180 euros is a fecking good price and you dont really need to have a Sly card anyway as you can always do it the other way round and still obtain channels.
either way you should have bought and if you wasnt planning to use then you could have sold the box to someone else and still made a profit on it.

any sat box's internal reader has a voltage of 5v. ideally you want a bit less for the more delicate cards
it is a good price

well I still have the option to buy it, the reson I didnt is because ive also heard that the botloader 75 version had some glitching problems on the hd channels, I was planning to use it to replace my dm500 for a small share no more than 7 or 8, I might reconsider now.. lol..

Thanks for the reply's but ive decided to let this one go, as the new dm800 hd bootloader 76 sim 2.1 with the new alps M tuner retail at €215 delevered from satboxs.com
