Neither are hd, starview 7 only lasts 12 months, starview hd combo+ are rare to come by, as a new version is out, the euroview hd!

Thanks for the feedback...
How comes the Starview7 only has 12 months life span ? Can it not be DIY flashed or updated in anyway like good old versions ? Is the EuroviewHD updatable and fully working via LAN for VM network ? Cheers |

Starview and Euroview once connected via Lan you get 12 mts after that you buy a new box, Kryptview on the other hand dont have a cut off time limit, and is a far better supported box.
You cannot after the 12 mts on Starview flash with anything else as the ip on the box is blocked and no way of altering this.

It is still not known what happens after 12 Months on either box. Some people with Staview's have reported expiry dates beyond 12 Months from the date of connection, others reported dates that have changed. It is not known for certain that the Kryptview will not expire at some time or that there will not be a procedure to renew the Starview if needed.
Support for both boxes seems similar to me, as does server performance. The Kryptview server has included some PPV Events that were not included on the Starview. There is no doubt that the Starview is a much better specified box, it has a USB connection, is PVR ready and has proper wide-screen switching unlike the Kryptview.
