Default Cable direct to PC no STB

Does anyone know of any PCI / software / Cam combo's that can be used to route my cable signal direct to the PC eliminating the STB?
I'm not worried about extra chanlles I just want to use the standard cable channles in a media PC?

Want to stay away from Firewire options if possible ???????

There are PCI cable TV cards like this one - eBay.co.uk: TECHNOTREND DVB-C 2300 PREMIUM PCI CARD -> For Cable TV (item 130097432138 end time 13-Apr-07 20:42:22 BST)

Is that what you're looking for?

This is the type of card I'm lookig for but I have not been able to find any info that states conclusively that these cards will work with UK DVB-C?

I am looking some sort of confirmation before I start to spend cash..

Cheers
