it may be a component on its way out (when it gets warmed up)
did you try another or one of the older boxes to see if same symptoms persist

95% signal strength is common on the SV, the quality needs to be above 65%, with it bouncing and happening on FTA channels, then I would say it's either a hardware issue or a signal problem.

i was going to say signal problem,,,, remove it all from the set up and clean and blow every connection,,, check cables and start from fresh with wiring it up methodically checking each connection is good as you go. also when its on wiggle connections and wires to see if it imporves to check for wire breaks etc.
do a speed test on your internet,,, google that.

if thats all good check the box outside for water penetration or damage to cable outside.

other than that like mincsat said could be a hardware issue... punch the box really hard and shake it then try it all again.

good luck

regards dave

I wouldn't say "punch the box really hard", that may invalidate the warranty - or damage your Hand.

Try tapping it and shaking gently.

check as much as you can that the signal isnt caused by a wiring fault or splitter etc, if you dont get anywhere give virmin a ring and say theres a problem with slow internet and can they check things their end with their test equipment.
ive had times when ive rung them cos the nets not up to scratch and miraculously when they say they cant find any faults it improves all by itself, they wont admit theres anything wrong or they are throttling your service but when you bring it up they usually sort it whilst still not admitting anything.
but doing the checks at your end first will ease your mind as to your set up not having the problem.

regards dave
