Hi there
My name is mark and i have just brought two eurovox max boxes to which i would recomend to anyone. My brother had one and i ve got the other his works spot on and mine works at his which is only a five minute walk away but when i plug the boxes in at mine they pick up all channels but when you go to view them theres hardly any signal and most of the time no signal at all last week i was watching cable on ntl so i now there must be a signal coming down the line but stuck for ideas on what to do. Thanks for taking time to read and if anyone knows what to do or if this could be a ntl fault i would be greatful for there info. Thanks again Mark |

More than likely you have a bad connection somewhere which is causing a poor signal. This could be a multi splitter or damaged lead.
Have you tried it at the first point where it comes in?, if so it could be a poor signal coming in from outside, you would still have a normal analogue signal which allows you to see your normal stations but it's probably not as clear as your brothers. D |

hi mate thanks for replying ive run a new coax cable from the ntl point outside to the rf point on euro box still same problem. I am wondering that as i havent been suscribe to ntl for 3 years that they can and are giving me a weak signal down the line do you or anyone now that ntl can change the signal strenth they output, if so i will sign up to basic package to get a good signal again. thanks again for your input.

I have exactly the same problem, the eurovox max tend not to like splitters anyway, but also i found that when i tried the eurovox maxv, the signal was coming through perfect on all channels, on the older maxs, one red and also one blue, the signal has become intermittent, I do not know if the recent firmware has had an affect on the boxes, or there is a reduction in signal, but i am on a subscribed line, so there should be the minimun signal there for a cable box, also there is a buzz in the background when i have any cable box on, but disconnect the cable feed, and go back to normal tv, the buzz goes, there is a splitter on the line, but the signal loss is there whether you connect to the direct feed, with no splitters on, or with the splitters on. All three boxes worked perfect before the nov hit, but now the only one working is the eurovox maxv.
