Default clueless about cable..

hiya..

as of today i just downgraded my virgin XL tv to there basic service.. tba over the past year i probably watch about 20hrs of television so didnt really need it. but i kept the broadband and phone line.. thing is the children are now sad daddy cancel there children channel (nickledeon disney etc) packages and its making me feel guilty lol.. so i was wondering if there anyway way of getting the these services for free hehe... any help or link or guide or answer is appeciated... also apology in advance if i broken any rules in asking bout way of getting free cable channel or posting the same old same old request thread.. as title said i am a noobie whos for the past year been paying extortionate fee for a service i no longer uses and feel it the time to join the freeloader wagon lol.. just kidding.. please help me please .. otherwise kids gona be hating daddy for awhile... mucho thanks

Yep i know what its like i pay for the xl tv xl phone and 20bb and its only my little girl how likes 2 watch her nick jr and that, so get a c/s box, Im thinking of getting 1... Just 2 add you will need your bb 2 get the channels and homeplugs or a wireless bridge. have a look on ebay for the wireless bridge easy 2 get...


you need a kryptview a780 or a starview box and then you can get cable Tv google it or look here Lincsat's Nick-nacks (Shop)

its exactly what im looking for.. what would u recommend?.. is it worth paying the extra for HD? this probably a dumb question lol how long does these starview/krytview box last for? is it just plug and play and watch or do i have to fiddle about with the setting once in a while..? im looking to buy 2 of these.. what a wireless bridge lol..

Well if you go for the starview you will only get a year out the box then you will need 2 get a new 1 as they go off after the year, But the krytview dont have the cut off time so if its more for the kids then it the krytview you need as it will last longer....

And the box you will need 2 flash it with the firmware for the box that you can get off the bigmaq toolbar or from here -http://www.box.net/shared/6x46dqnksg

wireless bridge from the box 2 your router so you dont have a cable running from the router 2 box, look at link...

They are similar to the wi-fi bridges that I have on my site. I also have homeplug adapters not just the boxes

I can't talk for other sellers M8, only for what I sell. The ones I have can draw power from a USB socket if you have one close by, otherwise you need a 5v-15v PSU.
