Question Can I Replace My V box?

Hi all.
I have a virgin subscription for a V+ box downstairs & a standard box upstairs. If I buy a V+ box from ebay or wherever, can I just replace my standard box upstairs with it as I am paying for two boxes? Or would I have to request another card or something from virgin?
Also, can I connect the same box to 2 tvs?
Apologies for sounding a little stupid but I genuinely am clueless!

I forgot to ask. If I can't use one box to view on two tv's (not at the same time), is there a way of connecting the box in my bedroom to the tv in my little boys room to just work as a sort of aerial so he can watch the built in freeview on his tv as there is no aerial/antenna at the house?
Again, my apologies for being so clueless.

VM only allow you to use equipment supplied by them to yourself. If you were to buy a V+ box off ebay they would consider you to be in receipt of stolen goods as they own these boxes and nobody actually has the right to sell them on !

VM can't own the V+ boxes because I had to buy mine from them as well as pay for second box installation. I know they supply the standard ones & they do remain their property, but I actually paid for the V+ box so it is my property. I would think the ones sold on ebay must also have been paid for.

They could have their standard box back, I just wanted to save some money on the box price & be able to record/pause channels on both. Im not bothered about getting the hd channels in my room, I have enough paid for channels. Its just the extra box functions. I'm not trying to do anything illegal, just make things a bit more convenient.

I did buy it & I still have the bill it was on. I bought my son a tv 6months ago as well & when it stopped working properly last week the shop replaced it-same deal but VM have a longer upkeep on it as they agree to fix faults/replace the box the whole time you're subscribed & using it.
