Unhappy wont find channels

hi i wonder if anyone can help my euro-vox max box has lost all its channels and whem im doing a search (which ive done many times in the past with no problems) it does not find any channels at all it does not seem to be locking on to any transponders, like its looking but theres nothing coming through the cable. ive even connected the box directly to the cable pre splitter and it does exactly the same thing. can anyone help as to what this may be ??

cheers.

Lightbulb Re: wont find channels

Try this ....Power the unit off remove the mains plug from wall socket...that way you ain't gonna fry remove the lid by removing 5-6 screws, inside there will be some cables that are an inch wide with plastic sockets on the end that go in to the circuit board.
Make sure these are pushed in to the socket firmly,or better still remove them and represent them one at a time.
Put the lid back on,power up and scan....The reason for this is the sockets on the circuit board can push cable connector out due to heat expansion.

This happened to mine....Post back at let us know...

I had the same problem yesterday. It took me around 5 hours to tune the box in. Sometimes a powerscan only fond 1 or 2 transponders rather than the usual 30. It sorted itself ... eventually ...
