Default Connect laptop to Bravia TV?

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone can help me with connecting my laptop to my Bravia. Sometimes I connect them via the HDMI slot and it works and other times it just doesn't work no obvious reason. Like today I spent over an hour trying to make it connect and all I got was no recognition or just my desktop picture appearing on my TV screen and nothing else. Is there a specific way to do this so it works at the very first go?

Thanks

very strange I must say in regards why the post has been deleted.

Anyway just to add in short.. its a straight forward process mate

U connect the laptop to TV via HDMI... and then on your laptop press one of the Function keys which has a dual monitor symbol on it.

and you should see the display.

I frequently connect my laptop to my HDTV to view my pictures & Videos. It works fine for me. It is a single wire with 3 splits in white, Red & Yellow. If I plug it to the matching colors on the TV, I can access anything from my laptop.
