Default I need help..serious help

Hi everyone..
Erm so basically you know the usual story, im a newbie dosent know much ect ect .
Now to the point.. Ive tried doing my research (to try and get free channels such as sky sports) and all ive found is that some thing called "nagra 3" stops cable boxes from working now so everythings gone. Except now theyve found a hack which comes in "starview 7". So IF THIS IS TRUE (please confirm and advise)..where can i buy starview 7? (in the UK) and also will i need anything else with it? (e.g an extra box? broadband). How long will it last for AND lastly is it neccessary to have a virgin media box (since i have sky+)
Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,
  • First of all Starview 7 is not a sat box and only works with cable mate
  • Secondly the post is in the wrong section.
  • Thirdly you can use your exsisting broadband line with the box
  • Fourthly: The box needs to be connected to the internet in order for it to function
  • fifth: If you get a starview box then it will last only 12 months according to reports on the forum. However if you get a KV A780 then there is no expiry date however it cost a bit more.
  • Starview 7 cost around 99 quid I think and KV A780 is around 160 quid I think.
  • Sixth: when you buy a box it comes with a FTA image. you will need to flash the box.. Now am not sure wether that box can be flashed via a pen drive or you will need a Null modem. That am sure someone else will confirm as I dont own the any of the STB mentioned above
  • Seventh: you can buy the box from Lincsat.
  • Eight: you will receive all the channels which Vermin media have. However in simple terms you will all channels which are being subscribed by the local card holder.
  • In this case it means you will receive there XL package. That includes sports movies and so on.
  • ninth: The box is not a HD box is only a SD box. If you want a HD box then I think you will need to get that Euroview box which again will only last 12 months.
  • Tenth: KV dont do a HD box and only do a SD box
And finally: Just to confirm in regards to how long it will last well that something no one can predict or even tell you how long it will last. It would like asking ''How long is a piece of String?''

The server could be raided 2morrow or Vermin media could use counter attacking measures.

If you want the channels then you simply have to take a risk .

You need a Vermin Line and not a SKY line in order for the box mentioned above. Your SKY plus box is of no use if you planning to switch to Cable.

There is alternaves on SKY as well but that is something that cant be talked about in a public forum.

well when you subscribe to there services wether its the basic package or not they will give you a box anyway. Main thing is that you will need an active line / feed from Vermin Media.

Dont get confused and think that buying a box from ebay will solve your issue.

you need to phone vermin up and say that you want there services. Choose lowest one and bobs your uncle once they have installed that Line.

So the answer to your question would be ''yes''
