Default Kyptview

hi guys i was after some help flashing my box. I got it from Lincsat but i just cant get it to flash. the first way i tried it was with a usb converter to my laptop. With that i can get the box to the stage where it says 0 per cent flash but it never goes any futher after a while it just says download fails. I have installed the drivers for the usb converter so i know it is not that

the second way i tried i connected directly with a direct connection to the back of my computer to the box. Here i get the message the download is not requested and read req fail. This is a direct connection with the baud rate at the second from highest. Could anyone please help

Thanks

I had a similar problem, DOnt use usb converters, use a direct connection. and try unplugging the null cable from the back of the pc a good few times.
Becuase i had the same problem and this did the trick.

Immediately after clicking start. Also check you have the correct COM port selected.

Have a look here - YouTube - Flashing the KV780

ok thanks guys i have managed to flash the box from a friends old pc (really happy to get it done finally ) but now when i connect the box to the cable feed all i get is the freeview channels. The lan cable is lit up at the back so it is connected but when i did an installation it just scanned the freeview channels it never asked for my net id or anything. Can someone please help i have been staring at this box for so long i would love to get it all working

ive just copied and pasted this from my old post lol but all credit goes to original author

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FOLLOW THIS AND YOU WILL SEE HOW EASE IT IS TO SCAN YOUR A750/A780

THIS TUTORIAL ALSO APPLIES TO THE A780 AS IT USES THE SAME MENUS AND NETWORK I.D.`s ETC

BUT THE A780 ALSO NEEDS A PERMANENT ETHERNET CONNECTION FROM THE BACK OF YOUR A780 TO THE ROUTER (NOT THE MODEM)

nb: ALWAYS USE THE TOP CABLE INPUT CONNECTOR WHEN CONNECTING YOUR FEED CABLE INTO THE BOX

after you see this screen you will get another with a list of areas
pick your net id or nearest area and press ok let the box do the rest thats it

note: a factory reset is achieved like this :- menu>install>factory default,,pin 0000,, factory reset is at the bottom

problems you may have which can easily be fixed

If you cant get box to connect to pc to flash then check drivers, if your really struggling take it to a mates house whos running xp and try it there LOL

If your kryptview ever goes to scrambled or no video then just switch it off and back on from the back, and service should resume unless you have an internet fault or maintenance is being done on the server

if you have no sound make sure you have the scart properly connected into tv and kryptview (tv) slot
