Which TV do you prefer and why?
I prefer the original CRT television that has been made for years for these reasons 1) Looks nicer.. (I think those flat things look disgusting) 2) Produces a BETTER picture (Always has) I dont care for HD,i dont care for 3D tv or any of that other crap.. Just a BASIC standard picture has always been fine with me (Preferably in analogue)

I much prefer LCD. CRTs are too heavy and no HD, and can't wall mount.

You can actually get HD CRT TV's, but they are a few and far between... Like a Samsung WS32Z409T, Ive never seen one myself, but I imagine the picture quality could be quite stunning....

A bit late, but those Samsungs are worth more than my LCD (HD) TV. (Granted it's a 22" and it's a Wharfedale and it's 768p not 1080p):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/csc/i.html?rt=...=p3286.c0.m283 Most CRT's tend to go for under £30 on eBay!

I do think that CRT gives a better picture but the flat panels are a lot more practical. I've not seen a large LED, I hear they are better than LCD. A good Analogue picture will usually be better than a broadcast compressed SD Digital picture as the compression is high to accommodate more channels in the available bandwidth.
The last CRT I had was virtually Burgler-proof - it weighed a mighty 75KG and was huge
