Default bt home hub plus router

hi everyone,I have a bt home hub 2.0 but this doesnt work very well with my ps3,so I was wondering if I purchase a netgear router or something of the sort,Can I connect this to my ps3 and connect the router wirelessly to the hub ? any help will be very much appreciated

From experience, HH's are not too keen on having 3rd party routers connected to them. On the flip side, although I know next to nothing about game stuff, I have seen several HH's working seamlessly with various consoles.

Perhaps if you could elaborate in respect of "doesn't work very well" ?

On black ops my nat type is strict and I find it hard to find any games and also can never join any of my friends games.My ps3 NAT type is 2 which is open but On the game its strcit.

you need to forward your ports mate.

Buying a new router will not solve your issue unles you have the corect ports for xbox.

you can put a DMZ on the Xbox. on the DMZ forward it to a specific IP. i.e the one assigned to the Xbox (LAN)

I'm glad someone else has been able to answer this, because that little lot meant nothing to me.

If it is a port-forwarding issue you have, the HH does have some game profiles built in, if the one you want is not there, they are easy to add.
