Default TV & Computer wireless link

Hi all

New here and not really sure if I am in the correct forum for my question, if not I apologise, could not see any place else to ask;

I have an Apple computer running the latest snow leapard OS, I also have a Panasonic Viera TV, I recently bought a Panasonic dongle in order to connect the TV to the computer wirelessly, initially I had tried and tried until I found out I needed an N rated router rather the G router I have, I went and bought a new Apple N rated router, only to discover it had no modem, on advice from Apple I plugged in my G router to the N router and hey presto according to the TV in settings mode it was communicating with the computer, therefore there was a signal, however no picture on the PC setting screen, I could log into the viera setting for internet TV but not access the computer, does anyone know where I go from here, I'm not a techy in any way shape or form so simple instructions would be good, the only other thing I can think of is maybe the computer needs to be possibly tuned into the TV, or maybe file sharing enabled, but do not know how to do that as I am new to Apple, any advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

on a pc file sharing is easy you just click right on the folder containing the files you want to share then properties //share//then click the dot that says share this folder dunno if its the same on a mac.

if you just want to find out if your if your tv can see your apple then download twonkybeam for mac and stream youtube or similer to your tv if this works then sharing is possible twonkybeam is free software....good luck
