Default Where is the support

Where is the support? when we bought these we DID get told there was a 12 month GIFT via lan that is why we bought them that is why they give us firmware that is why they have sold so many of these .We take the risk of having them but when things go wrong the manufactorer wash their hands of us .With no contact at all .I would be happy if they said we can not get the server up and running then at least we can start looking at getting a method of watching tv .Where is the support SV

I dont think you can ask for any support mate, because the game is a risky business as it is and not mention that these are public servers.

So in essence if they went down you would have to deal with the down time / number of days.

In other words there is no guarantee on how long they would take to fix the issue. And I highly doubt they would release the info in regarding the fix as well because am sure they themselves dont even know how long it will take to fix it.

I think patience is the key here if you ask me and also at the same time there is nothing anyone can do / will do about it.

SV never forced anyone to buy the boxes all they did was come out with a genius plan by launching a server and STB's for cheaper prices.

Now its paid off for them and they couldnt care less tbh regarding there down time, because there is nothing written in the book stating that when the server goes down we wil fix it within 24hrs.

No one knows how major the problem is and if it is the new year in china then I guess as mentioned in the previous thread which I was reading it would like the UK on a new years eve and New yrs day. So in essence you seriously cant expect anyone to work on christmas day as an example or even new yrs day.

Let folks in china enjoy themselves and when that hang over has faded away maybe then the servers will be back online

The risk of buying a SV / KV box was purely down to the individual.

You get a 12mth warranty on the workings of the box, once you put software on the box that invalidates your warranty straight away, you never get a warranty on your viewing that is a chance we all take just like you did with your last box.

if you dont want the risk i suggest all people take a sub out with their providers.

personally its all a bit hit and miss,,, ive just set up my sat server and wont be going back to the cable side untill things imporve a hell of a lot or untill kv bring out a hd box,,, yeah i know middle of the year to 2013 for it coming out lol!!

i feel sorry for the people that bought the sv7 but my god im glad i got the combo! at least theres always a way out!

i believe the server outage is just a temp problem that will be sorted and everyone should just chill and be patient... its come back when they have fixed the card reader problem, altho i dont believe that is the fault for one minute.

have a good one guys and the odd girl!!

regards dave

The big problem with subs is a 12 month contract and most of the the people that have sv and kv are on a very low budget even just paying £100 for a box is lot .It makes me angry that people on here say pay cheap pay twice .We the customer get sold these boxes with the sellers saying they are very good, well better than the previous ones .The sv peeps would not give us boxes with lan then give us firmware to watch other programs if we couldnt update them .Apart from all this All we want when things go bad is a clear explanation ??? Is that too much to ask for???

People to my mind do not do enough reading on what is good and what is bad, you just have to look around and read the posts to know what people are saying about boxes, you are trying to compare a Mini to a Bmw which is impossible to do, same goes for the boxes you should have asked questions from the forum members before you purchase the box and that way you would have been informed then after that make your choice based on the info you have got.

As we have said time after time there is no guarantee that any card share box will remain going, nobody knows or can see the future if they can please pass me on the lotto numbers, the only way you can be fully guarantee that you will get uninterrupted service is by getting a sub from your provider, lots and lots of people bought Starviews some prob only got them today that is the luck of the draw you have to go with the flow, all anyone that has these boxes can do now is wait and see if they return if they dont there is nothing you can do, except buyer beware on future purchases.
