Dear Friends,

I have StarwiewHD box HD Combo Plus. After trying to failed update today the box totally stop working. That is only red light ( * ) display on Box even after restart the same thing, i have tried to press start button on remote & box for couple of seconds but no responses. Repeated Several times the same thing....

In essence, only red light display on Starview Box,,,,,no sigh of green light as normal.

Any help will be really appreciated.

I am not sure what is wrong with your box but I can tell you that all the info regarding you not getting no channels since last week is all over the forums.

when the channels come back on and the box is still like as you say,what to do is power off then switch back on while holding the power stand by button on front of the box,you may need to try this a few times but it worked for me the only draw back is you will always need to have it plugged in.let me know how you get on

This looks like there is a fault on the switch mode power supply, my guess with stuck on standby is most likley a shorted capacitor on the smps.

if everyone looks b4 they ask on the forums they will know, sv is down and thats that, they r gone and i think no coming back this time, take your time and look

If it's just a bad flash, you may be able to recover with the SVHD fix on TCB.CC toolbar
