Default no sound

hi i've got a fujitsu seimens amilo pi 1505 but i've got no sound i've checked in device manager but there's no sound device in there i've tried downloading realtek ac 97 driver for windows 7,i've downloaded to my desktop but i dont know how to get the download to drive my sound. any ideas what i'm doing wrong. cheers.

Hello my friend,

Did you goto your volume control panel and see if MUTE ALL is selected?

If not make sure they arent all the way down @ 0%..

Otherwise goto device manager,right click on your sound and audio driver and uninstall it..

Reboot and the system should pick it up and reinstall it for you

thanks for reply i've been into device manager and there's no sound device on it at all to be able to check volume levels of if anythings muted it just seems to have disappeared

re install the drivers!!!

2 ways of installing the drivers

1) you can run the Setup.exe

2) you can go into device manager and install it manually via the properties.

Has it always been like that or you just switched on one day and it was missing? Did it happen after an update??

Try going to device manager and right click on sound video and game controllers and click "scan for hardware changes" that might sort it..

If its only a recent problem have you tried a system restore?
